A new Card!

Do you ever just feel so overwhelmed by evertything you have to do?  That is how I have been feeling lately.  My daughter's softball practices have started, and that is 4 nights a week, of course I now have wi fi, so I am thinking I can get caught up on emails and blog posts if I am fully charged.  (LOL I mean that in more way than one) 

So obviously, who has time for crafting, right?  But I have had this card sitting on my table for 6 weeks.  I love Sugar Nellie stamps and digis, and that is what this little sweetie is.  From the Simply Adorable collection.

I colored her up with my Copics.  I am pretty happy with my coloring, even the hair! Hair has been really hard for me, but I think this is a bit better than my last.

I would like to enter this card in the Fussy and Fancy challenge they want  a card for a child!

New Belles N Whistles

I think it is safe to say spring has arrived and is here to stay?!  Softball practice has started for my daughter.... 4 evenings a week! Yikes, and it never fails she always gets more homework this time of year too!

A simple little card to share today

Not anything fancy today, but I think a cute little card all the same. Can you see how focusing on my coloring I completely ignore the rest of the card!?  Still having a hard time with hair.  Oh well... gives me something to work on next time.

I used the new patterened paper from Imaginisce's Enchanted Line.  I also used a cute little Tilda stamp from Magnolia.  My coloring was done with Copic markers.  The 5/8th inch ribbon is available HERE.

Artwork from a wonderful artist

I wanted to post this last night but ran out of time.  If you have been reading my blog you have read about Haeli.  My sister works for a local school system and told me about Haeli.  I can tell she is quite fond of her just by how she shares all Haeli's accomplishments.  Haeli is in 6th grade just like my daughter, so I really have an understanding of girls that age, and it has made me feel like she could be my own daughter.  Haeli is fighting cancer, and I thank all you wonderful crafters who have sent her cards and packages, she has received over 80 so far!

Do  you know what?  The cards have come from near and far, and honestly it just warms my heart. With all the differnces we have in this world, this craft of ours, along with a child, can bring us all together.  I know I am a bit sentimental, my daughter tells me all the time.  It just makes me feel like I am a part of something special.

So, my sister, Melissa, has told me how talented Haeli is.  Not only is she a musician, but also an artist.  When Melissa showed me this picture I was just amazed.  My sister was not kidding, this girl is truely talented.  So of course I wanted to share it all with you.  Now I have to tell you I could not even come close to creating something this good!
